Stephanie Giddens, Program Director

Steph & Polish:
I spent most of my time in seminary trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I got out. I knew I absolutely wanted to teach the Bible to women, but I didn’t know what that was going to look like. On the way back from meeting my brand new niece one weekend, my husband Brad challenged me to think through my future. I realized it had to include what I was most passionate about: women, the Bible and the faith in the midst of today’s culture. I also knew that Kat was the person I wanted to work with. From that conversation in the car and a chat over coffee with Kat, Polish was born! It’s the perfect mix of my favorites: young women living in the real world and the life-changing truth of God’s Word that I’m absolutely in love with.

Stats:
Married to Brad and just had our first baby girl! Undergrad from Texas A&M and Masters from Dallas Theological Seminary. Not only do I teach for Polish but I work for a private equity firm in Uptown doing market research.

Faves:
World travel, coffee with friends, cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper from Sonic and Saturdays with nothing on the schedule.

Katherine Armstrong, Teaching Director

Kat & Polish:
My junior year of college ruined me. I realized helping women understand the bible for themselves would be the only thing that would satisfy me in life and fulfill my calling. Now, nothing else brings me the same level of joy and excitement in life as teaching God’s word to willing participants. When Steph approached me about Polish I told her “she had me at hello.” I love to work. I love my job. Merging my career and faith is something that takes intentionality and a focus on what the Bible has to say about our everyday lives. Finding resources focused on women who work my age is hard to come by. Polish is something I know I need every week in my life. Like most things in my life I want to share what is bringing results in my life to others.
